L. J. Weller

L. J. Weller is an author of quirky, contemporary fantasy fiction. Originally from London, she now lives in Norfolk with her family and an ever-growing collection of books and jigsaw puzzles. When she's not busy writing, she can be found attending pub quizzes or feeding the local wildlife (including a cheeky grey heron named Herbert).

Her debut novel, Tansy Bloom, Monster Hunter, was inspired by her lifelong interest in folktales, ghost stories and urban legends. An Audible Original, it was released exclusively on Audible and Amazon on 27th June 2024.

L. J. Weller was a voracious reader from a very young age. As a teenager, she read every Point Horror novel she could get her hands on (much to the dismay of her teachers) and she enjoyed the YA thrillers and supernatural suspense novels of Lois Duncan and Christopher Pike. This all instilled in her a love of commercial genre fiction which has remained to this day.

Now she's all grown up (allegedly), her favourite reads include Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion, The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, the Winternight trilogy by Katherine Arden, Clockwork Heart by Dru Pagliassotti, Lisa Lutz's Spellman Family novels, the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers, and pretty much anything by Charlaine Harris.
